NEVADA

In the 2024 general election in Nevada, voters flipped the state’s presidential vote to the Republican side as Donald Trump defeated Kamala Harris by a margin of roughly 3.1 % (50.59 % to 47.49 %).

At the same time, the Democratic incumbent senator, Jacky Rosen, narrowly won re-election, maintaining a Democratic U.S. Senate seat in a state that flipped for the GOP at the presidential level.

On the state‐legislative side, Democrats retained control of both chambers, but Republicans gained enough seats in the Assembly to deprive Democrats of a veto-proof super-majority.

Several key ballot measures also passed: a constitutional amendment guaranteeing abortion rights won approval, and a strong voter-ID requirement measure passed as well.
