PENNSYLVANIA
In the 2024 general election in Pennsylvania (held November 5), Republicans had a strong showing: Donald Trump won the state’s 19 electoral votes with approximately 50.4% of the vote over Kamala Harris’s 48.7%.
Meanwhile, in federal and statewide contests, Republicans flipped the U.S. Senate seat as Dave McCormick defeated three-term Democrat Bob Casey Jr. and the GOP picked up U.S. House seats, taking a 10-7 majority of Pennsylvania’s delegation.
At the same time, the state House remained narrowly under Democratic control. Turnout reached nearly 77 %, and state officials certified the results without major legal challenges or certification delays.
